verFilzt Und zugeNäht: Issue 31
Summer 2011

We deal with screenprinting on felt and make a visit at »manomama«, where clothes and accessories are produced organically and socially acceptable. We report from a workshop in Argentina which was visited by eager participants from all over South America. The unconventional Finn Elina Saari likes best to felt in her sauna, her compatriot Karoliina Arvilommi processes considerable quantities of pure wool of the Finnish Landrace sheep, the Dutchwoman Joke van Zinderen finally discovered her passion for felting after having been resisting it for the longest time. Jana Muchalski appreciates the sensibility which lies in felting, Jeanette Sendler loves to create costumes for performances and the textile designer Silke Bosbach dedicates herself to truly special experiments.
