verFilzt Und zugeNäht: Issue 27
Summer 2010

We started with our competition of participants called »Masters’ Thread Tracks«. Numerous readers coped with the different requirements of our »Mystery Journey« and sent us pictures of their creations. The jury was very impressed by the fantasy, professionality and enthusiasm the objects were made with. It was hard indeed to choose: The best ones which are presented in this issue.
Further you can read about international famous felt artists:
The Canadian Andrea Graham deals with the environmental pollution in her works, for Vilte Kazlauskaite from Lithuania felting slowly is her secret, Rutsuko Sakata is inspired by life in two entirely different cultures – Japan and Finland. The New Zealander Isla Clark looks back on decades of a successful felting career.
Anybody who wants to put left-over wool to better use should try our tutorial »knitters loom«!
